ITS – INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS:
ITS improves safety, passability and level of service on our roads and is being increasingly used on the Danish road network.
ITS systems typically involve detectors, variable message signs and cameras along the roadside as well as communication equipment, power supply and management- and operation systems. Most of the existing traffic management systems in Denmark used in tunnels, bridges and on motorways are designed by ÅF – Hansen & Henneberg, and we manage the subsequent operation and maintenance of many of the ITS systems.
Our experience also includes minor isolated ITS systems and parking systems.
