MONITORING AND CONTROL:
Behind the variable message signs along the roads there is a large amount of intelligent control equipment. Controls may be either automatically e.g. travelling times and queue alert, or it can be manual inputs from a traffic operator. Controls are handled by an IT-system, which is being supervised and operated centrally by a traffic management centre- for example by the Danish Traffic Information Centre.
ÅF – Hansen & Henneberg are highly experienced regarding development and specification of IT-systems in relation to ITS, including multi-user web interface, user interface design, communication standards and data acquisition.
